I started Tailor-Made Communication with Debra because I know from experience how hard it is to get capable hands-on help when you need it. For us that means a mixture of experience and expertise.
We also know that when you need support you want someone to help you out – not come with their own agenda. That's why the business is called 'Tailor-Made' – because each and every solution will be different in the details.
Personally, in recent years, I've led an award winning in-house communication team in AXA Life as our business went through a series of major changes – from outsourcing and acquisition to disposal and integration. Eventually I managed communication while we split the business into two parts and sold one part to a competitor in a £2.75bn deal.
During this time I've worked to develop and apply practical approaches to help organisations manage, plan and measure employee communications more effectively. And importantly I’ve tested that these work in real life situations.
I am a Fellow of the Institute of Internal communication and its Regional Director for the South of England. I have also recently completed the Kingston Postgraduate Diploma in Internal Communication Management.
The single biggest thing I've learnt during my career is that you must appreciate the challenges business leaders face and that you only succeed by helping them to achieve their objectives.
